Awear Technologies is developing an integrated technology and training solution to address behavioral and learning disabilities such as ADHD, Executive Dysfunction and other cognitive deficits that lead to decreased school readiness, poor academic performance and undesirable life outcomes.
Our team includes recognized experts in cognitive developmental neuroscience, psychology and neurofeedback. Awear is working with experienced development partners to bring our solutions to market.
Rod Greder, PhD
Founder & CEO
Rod Greder Ph.D., in addition to a 25 year career in product development and marketing, is a teacher who is passionate about helping kids excel in school. His industry experience includes new product discovery, development and deployment, technology licensing and executive management with life science businesses. He is an adjunct faculty member at a number of post-secondary schools. It is this teaching experience that led Dr. Greder to start Awear Technologies with the goal of helping students improve their cognitive skill gaps to improve classroom behaviors and accelerate academic outcomes.
Steve Mesmer
Chief Operating Officer
With more than 20 years in developing educational technology products, Steve Mesmer is responsible for overseeing Awear Technologies’ operations, development and research. Starting his education career as a middle and high school teacher, Steve left the classroom captivated by the potential of technology to accelerate student learning. Since then he has served in executive and senior management positions at Questar Assessments, CTB/McGraw-Hill, Pearson and Computer Curriculum Corporation, developing highly-effective learning management systems, online state-aligned curriculum, teacher professional development and student assessments used by K-12 mainstream and special needs students in the United States and abroad.
Kelli Smith, Ph.D.
Instructional Designer
Kelli Smith, Ph.D. in education has 20 years of experience in higher education teaching, curriculum development and administration. Her interest in critical thinking stems from her years of teaching registered nurses in the classroom and in practice. She currently works as a program administrator for an online university specializing in digital education innovations.
Richard Schletty
Design + Imagery + Voice + Music + Media Creation
Richard is a fine arts graduate of Saint John’s University, Collegeville, MN. He began his career as a designer of promotional materials for print reproduction: page layout, package design, trade show graphics, corporate identity/logo design, photo retouching, illustration and book design. He has done murals and monumental paintings. As Richard adopted computer technologies, subsequent skills have included web design and development, content management, social media, SEO, cinematography, audio recording and editing, songwriting, animation and video post production. He’s a member of the Twin Cities Creatives Group and a board member of the Minnesota Association of Songwriters.
